For units starting at: 26,001lbs and up, the owner will have to have IRP & IFTA licensing. Fuel taxes will be tracked and paid through E & D Transport, Inc. Fuel taxes will be charged to the truck on settlements.
All Drivers must have a Class A CDL driver's license,current passport, and be legal for travel into Canada.
All drivers must stop at all scales and ports of entry.
All drivers of any size unit must log return miles per FMCSR.
Minimum one ton Pickup truck, able to meet DOT requirements. (DOT inspections required at orientation)
Pickup Division - Fifth wheel hitch with minimum 20,000 lbs. load rating
Pickup Division - If an extra DOT approved fuel tank is used it must be at or below truck bed level
Pickup Division - Wide Towing mirrors (trailers are 102" wide)
Electric brake controller for trailer brakes - Optional for class 8 trucks not having it will restrict your options on loads
Seven pin ("Bargeman" female side) (electrical connector power and ground are required to be working)
Big, sturdy mud flaps - Class 7 and 8 trucks that will pull light(aka pickup) division trailers are required to have full fenders.
Tire Chains - company policy is to get off the road as soon as safely possible when chains are required to be used.
Quantity of 8 minimum, 12 recommended 1"+ wide ratchet straps
Fire extinguisher mounted per DOT regulations.
Minimum of 3 Emergency reflective triangles
